The women of San Pedro create all of the bags and hammocks you see here
by hand, using a variety of crochet stitches. They use a soft but
sturdy nylon thread, typically found Chinese fishing nets. The thread
is readily available in a nearby town and comes in a variety of colors.
We purchase the bags directly from the women of San Pedro and pass their
pricing (plus a shipping charge) on to you directly, without
adding any processing or handling fees. Our mission is to create a
bridge between the women who lovingly create these bags and hammocks and
the happy customers who use them.
* 7/3/15 Note: The price of thread has gone up, so our new shipment which will arrive July 15, will be $1-2 higher per item (reflected below). In addition to the pictured items below there are also phone holders with cross body straps (GREAT for a dog walk or quick trip for coffee) for $6, and a 5"x9" clutch with wrist strap for $12. When the order arrives we should also have a backpack for purchase, made by one of our newest artisans, Merlyn! Stay tuned!
